DAY 1 : INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

DAY 2 : BUENOS AIRES / POSADAS
Description: your guide will greet you at the airport. After lunch, you can devote the afternoon to a first tour of the city of Buenos Aires or simply rest in the hotel room. Before leaving for Posadas, a briefing around a map will take place with one of our Operations Representatives. After a 90 minute flight to Posadas, your guide will be waiting at the airport and travel with you to Estancia Santa Inés.

DAY 3 : POSADAS / CARLOS PELLEGRINI / ESTEROS DEL IBERA
Description: you will have the morning free to enjoy the estancia’s facilities and activities: observe howling monkeys, araguatos, alouatte (carayas) and birds; enjoy horseback riding or a walk through yerba mate plantations within the property or relax in the swimming pool surrounded by a beautiful garden. After lunch, you will travel through route 41 towards the Esteros del Iberá. Once settled in the Estancia El Socorro, you will witness some of the fauna of the area: rheas and capybaras (carpinchos).
Distances: 267 km (166 mi); 206 km (128 mi) are dirt roads / around 4 to 5 hour trip.
Lunch: at Estancia Santa Inés.

DAY 4 : ESTEROS DEL IBERA
Description: after breakfast, enjoy a boat odyssey through Iberá Lagoon, sailing through a labyrinth of small islands. The density of land and water mammals, birds and fish here is exceptional: turtles, alligators (yacarés), monkeys, swamp deer, capybaras and over 350 species of birds. The afternoon will be devoted to activities of your choice: hiking and photo safari through the palm groves, horseback riding by the lagoon bank or relaxing in a Paraguayan hammock by the pool.
Duration: the boat ride lasts for 2h30.
Note: horseback riding and all other activities are included in the stay.

DAY 5 : ESTEROS DEL IBERA / POSADAS
Description: return to Posadas via route 41. You will settle in and have lunch at Estancia Santa Cecilia. In the afternoon you will visit the property on foot, by 4x4 or on horse with the estancia’s gauchos. This estancia extends all the way to the Paraná River and it is essentially dedicated to livestock breeding. A lovely pool awaits those who wish to enjoy a refreshing dip.
Distances: 267 km (162 mi). 150 km (93 mi) are dirt road / around 4 to 5 hour trip.
Plane option: those who prefer may return to Posadas on a private plane, a Cessna 182 (1 to 3 passengers + 40 kg (88 pounds) luggage max). See prices at the foot of the page.
Distance: from Posadas airport to Estancia Santa Cecilia: 26 km (16 mi).

DAY 6 : POSADAS / SAN IGNACIO / PLANTATIONS / MOCONA
Description: after breakfast, you leave the estancia to visit the Jesuit ruins of San Ignacio, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. These missions were founded in 1632, extended over 1687 square km (1048 square miles) and housed 4000 Guarani Indians.
Optional: on the way to Moconá you can stop to visit the tea and "yerba mate" plantations of Pipore, at Santo Pipo.
Distances: 260 km (162 mi) from Posadas to La Misión, approx. 5 hours plus around 3 hours for visits and stops.
Lunch: at the restaurant at Jardin America town.

DAY 7 : MOCONA / ELDORADO
Description: located on the Brazilian border, the Uruguay River features several falls along a 3 km (1.8 mi) front, with cascades of 5 to 12 meters (16 to 40 ft) high. The tour will be carried out in a private motorboat covering 22 km (13 mi), 60 to 90 minutes according to the water level. After the nautical circuit, you will hike up to the Mocona Refuge where a delicious lunch will be served. From there you'll travel towards Estancia Las Mercedes where you’ll enjoy the facilities and the different activities the establishment has to offer, according to arrival time: hiking or horseback riding through the jungle; visiting the hacienda and eucalyptus plantations with the local gauchos. The estancia also has a magnificent swimming pool.
Distances: the excursion to Moconá lasts around 5 hours plus 3 hours by car to cover the 215 km (134 mi) to the estancia.
Note: the Uruguay River bed may have either too much or too little water. In both extreme cases, this excursion cannot take place. Numerous alternatives are available: 4x4 excursion within the Yaboti Biosphere Reserve (4 hours), walk with a local guide through the Mocona Refuge area (3 km, 1.8 mi – 2h), visit the Guarani villages, or simply return early to the estancia to take advantage of the activities there.

DAY 8 : ELDORADO / PUERTO IGUAZU/ ARGENTINE FALLS
Description: after breakfast you will head towards Wanda, an open-cast quartz, amethyst and agate mine. The next stage will be the tour entrance to the Iguazú park. The circuit towards Iguazú falls will begin with a train ride (3 km, 1.8 mi) to the Devil’s Throat station. From there a 1100 meter-(3600 ft)-footbridge begins which will lead you to the viewpoint of Devil’s Throat, the most impressive waterfall of all. You then return to the Waterfalls station to begin a tour on foot through the footbridges. The upper circuit lasts about 1 hour (1200 meters, 3940 ft) and gives us a view of the waterfalls from above. The lower circuit (1700 meters, 5580 ft) has many more stairs. You may take a boat to San Martin Island, a magnificent circuit which goes from viewpoint to viewpoint, at the very heart of the falls.
Distances: Eldorado > Iguazú: 100 km (62 mi), 90 min. trip, 40 min. in the mine and the rest of the day at the Park.
Option 1: "Nautical Adventure": a 20 min. motorboat ride through the Iguazú River beneath the seven main falls. Departure from San Martin Island - 15 USD per person.
Option 2: visit the Devil’s Throat on full moon nights – 27 USD per person, including transfers.

DAY 9 : PUERTO IGUAZU / BRAZILIAN FALLS
Description: 80% of the waterfalls are in Argentine territory. Nevertheless, the view from the Brazilian side offers a very different perspective. The circuit begins on "Las Cataratas" path (1200 meters, 3940 ft – some stairs) which will lead you to the most important panoramic viewpoint, Devil’s Throat, to which you have access through a 500 meter (1640 ft) long footbridge. After lunch you will visit the Birds Park, a 5-hectare sanctuary inhabited by 800 bird species, butterflies, caimans, iguanas and monkeys of the Amazon rainforest. The parrots, macaws and parakeets are the park’s big stars. After that, you’ll have the afternoon off for enjoying the hotel pool; the vehicle will be available for shopping or visiting Puerto Iguazu.

Options: besides shopping, you may visit the Aripuca Museum or the Three Borders viewpoint.

DAY 10 : PUERTO IGUAZU / BUENOS AIRES
Description: after a brief morning for relaxation, you will leave the Amazon jungle to fly from Iguazú to Buenos Aires (1h50 flight). Once settled in at the hotel and after having lunch, you will be able to spend the afternoon walking around town, or, if you prefer, going shopping. The leather and gaucho articles stores in particular offer very original products. A dinner show will introduce you to the passion and grace of Tango… Argentina further reveals its soul.
Distances: 24 km (15 mi) to Iguazú airport.
Lunch: late lunch in Buenos Aires at the Gardiner restaurant or equivalent.
Dinner show: at the Cabaret Complejo Tango restaurant or equivalent, VIP location.

DAY 11 : BUENOS AIRES / INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
Description: until leaving for the airport, you will discover Buenos Aires and/or, according to your preference, go shopping. The leather-goods and gaucho article shops offer typical and original products. The city tour goes through avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world with its 65 meter (213 ft) obelisk and Avenida de Mayo, which is well known for its buildings of Galician architecture influence. At Plaza de Mayo you will discover the Casa Rosada, HQ for the president. You will then visit La Boca neighborhood with its colorful houses made from recovered material from ships, which inspire many poets and painters. San Telmo, another neighborhood, is full of antique shops and traditional tango bars. Recoleta is a traditional residential neighborhood, where walking is a true pleasure thanks to its numerous parks and squares. To end the tour, you will visit Puerto Madero, the old city port which has recently been completely refurbished. A walk you cannot miss!
Optional: flight over Buenos Aires in a private helicopter. Get an unforgettable panoramic view of Buenos Aires from 200 m. It takes 30 to 45 min to cover around 100km (from USD 165).
